WWE Monday Night Raw Power Rankings, January 30: The Viper attacks Edge
Top 10 men
1. Randy Orton
The Viper struck in a major way this week, when he viciously assaulted Edge. As happy as everyone has been about the return of the “Rated R Superstar,” did Orton end the celebration before it ever really got started?
2. Edge
He was on track to top the list this week, right up until Randy Orton showed up and blindsided his former friend. If he survives this brutal attack, you can bet revenge will be high on his mind.
3. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre shocked the world when he won the Royal Rumble. He then decimated The O.C. in a handicap match. The next few weeks will be interesting, knowing he’s on a collision course with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
4. Aleister Black
After making quick work of a local by the name of Kenneth Johnson, Aleister let it be known he was tired of waiting for people to pick a fight with him. He put the locker room on notice and informed them he’s ready to start picking a fight with the locker room. That’s bad news for practically the entire Raw roster.
5. Humberto Carrillo
After losing to United States Champion Andrade on two consecutive nights, Carrillo showed a vicious side when he used the champion’s own hammerlock DDT on him outside the ring. Could this be a new side of the young upstart?
6. Mojo Rawley
The recently crowned 24/7 Champion had an eventful Monday night, losing the title to R-Truth and then recapturing it moments later. And now that he evidently has the help of a new NXT recruit, he may be hard to stop.
7. Rey Mysterio
It’s been an up-and-down year for the masked legend, who had a great match with MVP on Monday night. The win gives him some much-needed momentum as he looks for a path to WrestleMania.
8. M.V.P.
If it was indeed the final WWE match for Montel Vontavious Porter, and he has indicated that is was, then he can hold his head high for the effort against Rey Mysterio and for a WWE career that had its fair share of moments.
9. R-Truth
It was not a great night for the always entertaining R-Truth. He regained and subsequently LOST the 24/7 Championship in a matter of minutes. But at least he avoided a trip to “Soux Falls City.”
10. Brock Lesnar
While it’s very rare to see the WWE Champion at the bottom of the ladder, he loses a few points for attacking Drew McIntyre after his victory over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. But he did let McIntyre know that he is more than ready for their clash at WrestleMania.
