2. Raul Jimenez helps Wolves past Manchester United

Wolves were terribly impressive in their first season back in the Premier League and somehow they’re looking even stronger this season. They are more accustomed to the league which is perhaps making life easier but they’ve also been playing in the Europa League this season which has added to the difficulty levels for the Black Country side.

That hasn’t phased Nuno Espirito Santo or his side and they’ve continued to perform at a level that many wouldn’t have expected them to achieve so soon into their new Premier League years. Manchester United are probably going through their worst period as a soccer club for more than 30 years.

The Red Devils are a shadow of the club that brushed everyone aside to win everything both domestically and in Europe. The red half of Manchester is now undergoing its own rebuilding project although the players involved in it don’t seem to be up to the task, shown by the club’s inconsistency this season.

Ole Gunnaer Solskjaer’s side have only won six of their twelve home matches and away from home they’ve only managed three victories. That’s not the form that Manchester United fans expect from their club and if it doesn’t improve soon then they might even be struggling for a Europa League place.

Something to get United fans excited is the arrival of Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes joined the club this week and could make his first appearance in this weekend’s match-up against Wolves.

This weekend, United and Wolves do battle hoping to edge themselves closer to a fourth place finish. Chelsea currently sit in 4th, six points ahead of United, Spurs and Wolves. Frank Lampard’s side have a difficult trip to Leicester this weekend whilst Spurs face Manchester City. That should provide extra motivation to United and Wolves in their pursuit of Champions League soccer.

Wolves will take a step closer to the Champions League soccer as they consign United to a third straight league defeat. Adama Traore will run riot down the right wing and cause chaos in the United defense. This will lead to opportunities for Wolves which Mexican striker, Raul Jimenez, will put away without a second thought. Nuno’s side will have too much going forward for the Red Devils and will win this one 2-0.
