Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers are in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race, as they sit one point out of a wild card spot with 60 points entering Friday. But a middle of the pack offense (3.06 goals per game, 15th in the league) could use a boost, and they’ve been attached to at least one top-end forward that may be available in Ottawa center Jean-Gabriel Pageau.

The possible return of center Nolan Patrick would surely bring a scoring boost. He has yet to play this season due to a migraine issue, but earlier this month general manager Chuck Fletcher has said he expects the second overall pick in the 2017 draft to play before the season is over.

Zucker was drafted by the Wild in the second round of the 2010 draft, when current Fletcher had the same job in Minnesota. That tie could put Zucker on the radar in Philadelphia, though the Flyers really don’t have any room to take on salary without some other maneuvering outside of a deal to get Zucker (just over $2.8 million, according to Cap Friendly). But Fletcher is not afraid to make moves, for better or worse as Wild fans surely remember, and with eight picks in June’s draft as trade capital, anything is possible.
