NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Jan. 31

Duds

James Harden (vs DAL – $10,600 on DK; $10,100 on FD): I still don’t know what’s up with Harden but it’s not there for him right now. The Mavericks will be down without Luka and maybe that will allow Harden to play his game a bit more. But this feels like another Westbrook night over a Harden night.

Nikola Jokic (at MIL – $9,400 on DK; $9,800 on FD): It’s a tough matchup for Jokic and though he’s turned things around, I expect Milwaukee to dedicate a lot of resources to stop him. And I’m just not going to trust any higher salary player against the Bucks because they’re that good.

Andre Drummond (vs TOR – $9,300 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Drummond plays a rather consistent game and might not hurt you too bad but this is a tough matchup. And I still don’t like Drummond’s overall play with Detroit going into the trade deadline.

Lonzo Ball (vs MEM – $7,000 on DK; $6,600 on FD): Lonzo has been playing well and fairly consistent basketball. The matchup isn’t bad but with Zion getting more time and more responsibilities, Lonzo seems like the guy who will take the small step back. He might not hurt you but the ceiling isn’t great.

Eric Gordon (vs DAL – $6,700 on DK; $4,900 on FD): Gordon’s price is still too high on DK and you simply shouldn’t trust it. Not with both Westbrook and Harden in the lineup. I think the Rockets will play well and win, but Gordon’s price simply remains too high.
