NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds on DraftKings and FanDuel Feb. 1

Scrubs

TJ Warren (vs NY – $6,100 on DK; $5,900 on FD): At some point, Oladipo will cut into Warren’s value. But it’s not there just yet with Oladipo still being on a minutes restriction. It’s a great matchup for the Pacers and Oladipo does open up the floor more for Warren as well.

Darius Garland (vs GS – $5,900 on DK; $4,500 on FD): Garland is inconsistent but this is a great matchup and a chance for him to deliver in a big way. There guaranteed aren’t quite there for him but I trust the matchup enough to take the risk.

Tim Hardaway Jr (vs ATL – $5,900 on DK; $4,900 on FD): No Luka means more opportunities for the rest of the scoring options on the Mavericks. And Hardaway has the highest ceiling of the bunch because he can create his own shot. Delon Wright is also an option on the Mavericks.

Thomas Bryant (vs BKN – $5,600 on DK; $5,000 on FD): Thomas Bryant is back with a vengeance. But his salary has remained at a good level given his overall output. The matchup could be a bit better but if Aldridge is out once again, that will make things easier on Bryant as he’ll have to expend less energy defensively in the post.

Jordan Clarkson (at POR – $5,500 on DK; $4,500 on FD): Clarkson is as inconsistent as they come but it’s a great matchup with the Blazers being on a back to back and being weak against the position. This feels like a big time Clarkson game. He has high scoring potential and he’s not afraid to assert himself.
