. Linebacker. Detroit Lions. Isaiah Simmons. 3. player. 50

The Detroit Lions hold the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, and they could certainly go a number of different directions with the selection. Of course, one area they could choose to address is at quarterback, where Matthew Stafford missed a ton of time due to injury last season, and they may be looking to address life after he is done.

However, Stafford has been incredibly productive during his time in Detroit, and while they could trade out of No. 3 so someone else can get a quarterback, them selecting his replacement seems unlikely. With this pick, the Lions should utilize the selection on the defensive side of the ball, bringing in arguably the most versatile defensive player in the draft class.

Isaiah Simmons would be a great fit for the Lions because he not only can play outside linebacker, but he also is athletic enough to play safety. Detroit has some explosive offensive players, and their defense is getting better, but Simmons is someone who could come in and make them a whole lot better in 2020.

. Cornerback. New York Giants. Jeff Okudah. 4. player. 31

The New York Giants rolled the dice on Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and it looks like the gamble is going to pay off. Jones showed during his rookie season that he is good enough to play at the NFL level, and now that Eli Manning has retired, it is completely his ship.

Also in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Giants selected Georgia’s DeAndre Baker, one of the top-rated cornerbacks in the draft class. It took a while for Baker to get his feet wet at the NFL level last season, but he came on strong towards the end of the year, and the Giants would be wise to get him some help in 2020.

Enter Jeffrey Okudah, who many believe is the best cornerback prospect we have seen in a while, out of Ohio State. Okudah and Baker would give the Giants a solid duo at the position moving forward, and based on what we saw from their defense last season, New York could take all the help they can get on that side of the ball.
