Ben Bartch. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. St. John's. 3. player. 59

Oh, so you all thought that the offensive line rebuild was over? Not yet. It’s clear the Dolphins need to replace most of the offensive line after trading Laremy Tunsil to the Houston Texans. The good news is that they’ve added Josh Jones and Cesar Ruiz already, so they’re off to a good start.

There wasn’t much tape out there on St. John’s tackle Ben Bartch as we turned the page into the 2020 NFL Draft process, so it was great to see him get an invite to the Senior Bowl to showcase his skills against top competition.

Many came away very impressed by his work down in Mobile, and it’s enough for Miami to take a chance on him here early in the third round. Something that stood out most with Bartch was how crisp his footwork looked. He didn’t over set against edge rushers, and stayed balanced throughout his one-on-one reps. Bartch also showed enough strength in his lower body to anchor against power rushers.

He has plenty of potential, and while it may take some time before he develops into a starter, it’s a smart pick for the Dolphins.
