Scrubs

PJ Tucker (at LAL – $6,200 on DK; $4,900 on FD): There’s a lot of good value on the Rockets, especially if Westbrook doesn’t play. But Tucker is going to get guaranteed minutes as their new starting center and he’ll do battle with Davis. He’ll be tasked with rebounding and he’ll get his usual outside shots as well.

Al Horford (at MIL – $5,800 on DK; $5,700 on FD): This is why they brought Horford to Philadelphia. Specifically for this matchup. Horford hasn’t been good this season, that’s no secret. But this is a matchup he did very well against on Christmas and this is why Horford remains part of the team. He’s a risk, but if you can’t take Horford here, I’m not sure you can take him again.

Derrick Favors (at CHI – $5,000 on DK; $5,000 on FD): This is largely based on the assumption that Zion isn’t going to play. No Zion means Favors will move back into a more important role and it’s a good matchup against the Bulls. He’s at a salary hat’s not going to hurt you either. If Zion ends up playing then stay away from Favors as his role has diminished.

Dwight Howard (vs HOU – $4,800 on DK; $4,400 on FD): I’m predicting a 30/30 game for Howard in this one. Howard always plays hard against his former teams and this is the former team he seems to dislike the most. And the Rockets have no reliable size in the frontcourt. I love Howard on Thursday.

Ben McLemore (at LAL – $4,500 on DK; $4,000 on FD): It’s a tough matchup against a good Lakers squad but the Rockets are going to get their shots, with or without Westbrook. And McLemore has proven to have a high ceiling due the amount of shots he gets on a nightly basis. I love the Rockets depth in this game because they don’t have a lot of depth.
