1. Manchester City put five past West Ham

The final match of this short Premier League card sees Manchester City host West Ham at the Etihad on Sunday. Pep Guardiola’s side have not performed to the standards they’ve set in the past two seasons and barring the biggest meltdown of all time from Liverpool, the blue half of Manchester will not be raising a third consecutive Premier League trophy in May.

That has not stopped City from fighting for every point though, which is bad news for West Ham. David Moyes’ side are in the heat of the relegation battle and desperately need to start picking up points in order to avoid the drop.

Last week, the Scottish manager will have been infuriated with his side’s defensive performance as they let a 3-1 lead slip in a 3-3 draw with Brighton. Any point is important right now for the Hammers but dropping an additional two in those circumstances is unforgivable considering the situation they’re in.

The chances of West Ham taking anything from their visit to the Etihad is next to none. West Ham haven’t beaten City since 2015 and in the nine matches succeeding that victory they’ve conceded a whopping 30 goals.

That doesn’t make good reading for West Ham fans so all they can hope for is a miracle this weekend. The Hammers won’t find that miracle and instead Manchester City will run riot at the Etihad.

Sergio Aguero will be in top form with the Argentine striker netting a hat-trick inside the first 45 minutes. Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling will add two more goals in a 5-0 demolishing of West Ham.
