2. Jason Peters, Offensive Tackle

Despite entering next year at age 38, Jason Peters has expressed his desire to keep on playing. Peters is coming off another solid season with the Philadelphia Eagles and might be a little more sought after than most realize.

This is a smart veteran player who is still capable of playing at a high level. It’s Peters’ quick feet and incredible balance that helps him keep defenders out of the offensive backfield.

Even though there figures to be a good bit of interest in Peters; he is unlikely to command a big money deal. Peters has had his share of injuries over the past few years and his age won’t help sell his stock.

However, the Chargers could see Peters as a bargain as a potential starting left tackle and at the very least a depth piece.

Los Angeles faces a lot of uncertainty along the offensive line especially when it comes to left tackle Russell Okung. He has dealt with his own injury issues and was unavailable for most of last year.

The Chargers could realistically use help at both tackle spots so adding a veteran like Peters makes too much sense. This signing also wouldn’t stop Los Angeles from targeting an offensive tackle in the draft.
