Fifth Round

Notre Dame Fighting Irish. 170. 819. Pick Analysis. S. player. Scouting Report. Alohi Gilman

Given Baltimore’s draft history, the Ravens have earned the benefit of the doubt when selecting defensive backs. They usually do a great job in finding smart football players who have a nose for the football. Though not quite the ballhawk they’d typically be looking for, one guy who could be available to them at No. 170 in the fifth round is Notre Dame Fighting Irish safety Alohi Gilman.

Gilman originally played his college ball at Navy before transferring to Notre Dame. In two years with the Irish, he had 168 total tackles (90 solo, 78 assists), seven pass breakups, six tackles for a loss of yardage and three interceptions. At the very least, it seems as though Baltimore would be getting a cerebral player late in the fifth round Don “Wink” Martindale can coach up in Gilman.

Sixth Round

Baltimore may or may not have a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. This stems from a trade with the New England Patriots for offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemenor for an undisclosed pick. Many people believe this pick will eventually turn into a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Seventh Round

Scouting Report. TE. South Florida Bulls. 816. Pick Analysis. Mitchell Wilcox. 225. player

Baltimore already has two solid tight ends in Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst. However, they might want to find a quality chipping tight end late in the draft in the seventh round. If he can catch passes too, then that’s fantastic. At pick No. 225, Baltimore could go with a guy like Mitchell Wilcox out of South Florida.

After redshirting as a freshman in 2015, Wilcox leaves Tampa with 100 career receptions for 1,326 yards and 11 touchdowns. While he never had more than 43 catches in a season, his five touchdown grabs as a senior in a chaotic situation with the Bulls could make for another interesting wrinkle in Greg Roman’s Ravens offense. Lamar Jackson loves red-zone tight ends.
