San Francisco 49ers. Grant Delpit. 31. player. 42. . Safety

The San Francisco 49ers were the best team in the NFC all season long, and they proved that to be the case once the playoffs started as well. Unfortunately for the 49ers, they just could not hold off the Kansas City Chiefs for four quarters in the Super Bowl, as Patrick Mahomes and company scored 21 unanswered in the fourth quarter to win it all.

As the 49ers look towards the 2020 NFL season, there is a lot to be excited about, and they should once again be one of the key players in the NFC. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is a winner, the defense is solid up front, and if they can improve in the secondary, they should be in good shape moving forward.

Cornerback and safety must be addressed this offseason, and at pick No. 31, they could end up with the best true safety in this draft class. Grant Delpit is slated for the first round, and could go in the top half, but if the draft shapes up this way, he would be available, as well as be an absolute steal at No. 31 overall.

Jeff Gladney. 32. player. 124. . Cornerback. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs used a 21-point fourth quarter to win their first Super Bowl in 50 years this month, fueled by the spectacular play of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. To say Mahomes has been a Godsend would be an understatement, as he has arguably had the best three-year start to an NFL career of any quarterback in history.

If the Chiefs want to get back to the mountaintop next season, they have to improve on a secondary that was a lot better in 2019. Bringing in a guy like Jeff Gladney with the last pick in the first round makes a lot of sense, as it helps the secondary get younger, and adds depth to a group led by some solid veterans this past season.

Who knows where the Chiefs will end up next season, as it is almost impossible to repeat in the NFL, but one thing is for sure, they are building something special here. Gladney helps them get better in the secondary, and when it comes to this roster, that fills one of the few voids remaining.
