DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($10,400): Young racked up 63.5 DraftKings points in the first game with Cleveland. 60’s are commonplace for Young anymore. I would bet on him hitting that mark before Luka tonight, and Trae comes at a $500 discount. That may not sound like much, but when it comes to scrounging for value picks, it can be.

Damian Lillard ($10,200): A slow first half made his line more human last night. That could be the norm from here on out. My issue with Lillard tonight isn’t the price or the second game of a back to back. Lillard has performed well in those games. My issue is that I can’t say that I believe he’ll score enough to justify fading Trae.

Honorable Mention:

Kyle Lowry ($7,900): Lowry has 93.5 DraftKings points in the two games against the Nets so far, so this is a good spot for him. He was huge against the Timberwolves in Russell’s debut. I don’t expect Lowry up over 50 again. It’s possible with injuries still taking their toll on the roster, but I still say Lowry is somewhere in the mid 40’s. That’s still nearly 6x value.

Eric Bledsoe ($7,700): Forget the opponent. Middleton gets all the fanfare with Giannis out, but Bledsoe’s jump in production is nearly as extreme. Bledsoe racked up 52.5 DraftKings points on Monday with Giannis out. He also cleared 50 in the last game Giannis missed. He may not do that against the Pacers, but 5x value is his floor tonight.

Elfrid Payton ($7,500): Point guards are tearing up the Wizards. Actually, it doesn’t really matter the position. The Wizards can’t really stop anyone. Payton has logged at least 30 minutes in eight straight games and has at least 32 DraftKings points in all of those. He’s a solid pick because of the floor right now and he has lots of upside in the right matchup. This looks to be one of those.

Devonte Graham ($7,400): The Timberwolves were just torched by Lowry, so Russell hasn’t helped their defense any. Graham is back on track after a mid to late January swoon. He has at least 39 DraftKings points in three straight and one of the best matchups you could ask for. This should be another strong night for Graham.

Dark Horses:

Jordan Clarkson ($5,300): We know that Clarkson can drop a lot of points in a hurry. That’s been his calling card his entire career. Clarkson has 88.25 DraftKings points in 60 minutes over the last two games. I like this a lot more if Conley misses the game, but Clarkson may be worth a look anyway. 42 of those were against Houston with Conley in the lineup.

Victor Oladipo ($4,800): This isn’t a good matchup, but Oladipo should see around 28 minutes again. That should be enough time for him to put up a solid stat line. Oladipo hasn’t hit the ground running so far, so this is still a sizeable risk. He has only hit 25 DraftKings points once in six games.
