DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Chris Paul ($7,100): CP3 returns to the place that he called home for many years. Paul has been average against the Pelicans this year. At times we have seen him step back and let the young guards take over but not lately. Paul has 129.25 DraftKings points over the last three games. He’s a strong play tonight, especially after what he just did to the Spurs.

Lonzo Ball ($7,000): Lonzo has actually done better against the Thunder than CP3 has done against the Pelicans this year. Paul has the higher upside, but Ball’s production is independent of whoever else is on the court around him. His production is remarkably consistent. Ball has been between 30 and 50 DraftKings points for all but one game since Zion’s debut. Ball is one of the more sure things on this slate.

Honorable Mention:

Dennis Schroder ($5,800): Schroder came crashing to earth against the Spurs. He was still involved in the offense, but the lack of any defensive stats really hurt his line. Schroder usually manages to haul in a few rebounds with a steal or a block thrown in with decent assist numbers. There was none of that. That’s the concerning part. I still like Schroder a lot though for this price and opponent.

Marcus Smart ($5,700): Smart gathers enough defensive stats to give him a decent floor. That is especially important against a team that is defensively stout like the Clippers are. There isn’t much in the mid range for guards tonight and value is even more scarce. Smart will make some lineups just because he’s the best option in the price range.

Dark Horses:

Brad Wanamaker ($4,000): Wanamaker gets solid minutes off the Boston bench and I honestly trust the bench more than the starters against a team like the Clippers. Kemba looks overpriced and the Clippers other point guards are terrible even if given minutes. If you are looking for value at this position, this is about as good as it gets.
