3. Los Angeles Chargers

Simply put, the Chargers need help all over. Philip Rivers is likely gone, so there is a good chance the Chargers could be spending the sixth-overall pick in the draft on a franchise quarterback.

As we said for the Dolphins, the best friend of a young quarterback is the running game, and right now the Chargers don’t have one. Los Angeles’ top two running backs, Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler, are both set to hit the free-agent market this spring.

Gordon was a massive flop for the Chargers after his prolonged holdout, leading to more run for Ekeler, who looked good early on but is not built to be an every-down back. Henry would be a good fit in that role for the Chargers, who could use a big name to help gain traction in the Los Angeles market.

The Chargers also offer a head coach who was a former running back in Anthony Lynn, and he has been a guy who likes to emphasize the run in his offense. That should offer massive appeal for Henry, who is more than capable of carrying the load in any system.

Henry’s star factor rose significantly throughout the NFL playoffs, and he could do well as the leading man for a franchise in the second-biggest media market in the country.
