Borussia Dortmund vs. PSG: Watch Champions League online

Borussia Dortmund face Paris Saint-Germain at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, Dec. 18. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After weeks of anticipation, the Champions League returns on Tuesday with Borussia Dortmund hosting Paris Saint-Germain at Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund finished second in their group behind Barcelona. PSG, lead by former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, easily won their group, finishing five points ahead of Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund are third in the Bundesliga but are a flawed team. While Dortmund has scored 63 goals in the Bundesliga, they have struggled to defend, conceding 32 goals. The club had a busy winter transfer window, bringing Erling Haaland and Emre Can. Both players will play a key role for Dortmund in the second half of the season. Haaland is one of the best young talents in the world, scoring 37 goals in 28 games between Dortmund and RB Salzburg. Since joining Dortmund, Haaland has scored eight goals in five games and will play a key role in the two legs against PSG. However, Dortmund’s defense will ultimately determine how far the club advances in the tournament.

Paris Saint-Germain are again running away with the Ligue 1 title. PSG have not lost a game since Nov. 1, 2019, and were one of the best teams during the group stage. In their last game, PSG drew 4-4 with Amiens. Neymar missed the game with a rib injury but is expected to play against Dortmund. PSG’s front three of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi have been incredible this season, combining for 58 goals and 29 assists in all competitions.

Much like Dortmund, the only thing holding PSG back in the Champions League is their defense. PSG could be in trouble in the first leg with center-backs Presnel Kimpembe and Abdou Diallo are unable to play. The two players have missed recent games with injuries.
