NBA Fanduel – Small Forwards
Top Tier: Giannis Antetokounmpo versus Detroit Pistons ($11,200)
The most obvious pay up spot for every single slate is the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo. The last time that Giannis was below 50 Fanduel points was on January 18th and since then he has only dropped below 55 Fanduel points once. The man is unstoppable. Antetokounmpo has a usage rating of 37% while averaging 1.86 points per minute. He now gets to face the Detroit Pistons who have done a recent change in big men with the departure of Andre Drummond.
The Pistons are currently allowing opposing forwards to average 21 points, seven rebounds and three assist per game. They are also giving up 24 points in the paint, ranking tenth in the NBA currently. The Greek Freak will be able to get the job done from multiple spots tonight against this Detroit Pistons defense.
Mid Tier: Andrew Wiggins versus Houston Rockets ($7,500)
Is Andrew Wiggins, the man that the DFS industry hates, the piece that the Golden State Warriors needed? Trolling or not, Wiggins has turned it up a notch with three of his past four games being about 40 Fanduel points. Wiggins is averaging 36.7 points per game while averaging 1.06 points per minute. He’s also holding a usage rating of 28% while averaging near 35 minutes of court time.
While the Houston Rockets are a power scoring offense, their defense does slack and Wiggins is in a good spot. They are currently allowing opposing forwards to average 22 points, eight rebounds and four assist per game. With fresh legs, Andrew Wiggins and this Warriors team will look to finish their season better then it has been looking lately.
Low Tier: Kyle Anderson versus Sacramento Kings ($4,500)
With the small forward position, there isn’t too much low value that is worth risking your lineup for. Kyle Anderson is one of the better “low” priced players tonight though versus the Sacramento Kings. He’s currently averaging .90 fantasy points per minute with a usage rating of 13% with a court time of 18 minutes. He finished off the first half of the season with a couple of value returned performances with 28 and 23.3 fantasy points. The minutes are there for Kyle Anderson but it’s up to his shot and if it will fall to help him exceed his price tag.
While the Sacramento Kings team is young and able to perform to some standard, they still lack on the defensive end of things. They ranked in the middle when it comes to small forwards as they allow them to average 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game. The Kings can also cause some trouble for offenses as they do produce some turnovers but even with that, Kyle Anderson seems like a nice pairing when it comes to savings.
