Scrubs

Jordan Clarkson (vs SA – $5,400 on DK; $5,300 on FD): If Conley doesn’t end up playing then Clarkson is in a great spot. He’s always going to get his opportunities because that’s what he was brought to Utah to do. But no Conley gives him extra opportunities. Take him with confidence if Conley is out as the matchup is great with the weak San Antonio defense.

Carmelo Anthony (vs NO – $5,300 on DK; $4,900 on FD): No Lillard means there will be more shots to go around. McCollum will do the bulk of the work but Melo is definitely going to get his shots and postups. He’ll also contribute with rebounds as well. Melo puts a lot of emphasis on the post-break so expect him to come out firing.

Michael Porter Jr. (at OKC – $4,800 on DK; $4,400 on FD): I debated on MPJ and Millsap. Millsap usually plays very well against the Thunder and he’s at a similar salary. The injury could limit MPJ’s minutes as well, but he’s proven to have a higher ceiling. I also think the unknown helps him, assuming the playing time is there. One of them will hit big, I’m choosing to take the risk on MPJ but Millsap offers slightly more guarantees.

Juancho Hernangomez (vs BOS – $4,700 on DK; $4,700 on FD): With Towns out of the lineup, Hernangomez will once again get more opportunities in the frontcourt. You can also look towards James Johnson in this spot but he doesn’t offer quite the same upside as Hernangomez. Th Celtics aren’t great against the position compared to their overall level of play.

Darius Garland (at WAS – $4,600 on DK; $4,500 on FD): Someone will get a major benefit from the Cavaliers coaching change. Garland has proven that he can handle the scoring load and it’s certainly a great matchup against the Wizards. He’s a good price because he hasn’t performed great recently, but makes for a buy low option with a high upside given his ceiling and the coaching change.
