Welcome to the final hours of the 2020 NHL trade deadline! Spend the little time left until the NHL trade deadline comes to a close with our homemade bingo card.

Let’s be frank: The day of the NHL trade deadline is often quite boring. Most of the tantalizing trades are made in the days before the deadline itself. The broadcasts covering the event go around in circles talking about the news that’s already happened. Twitter becomes a waiting game for one of the NHL’s insiders to break a trade, which may or may not even be an exciting one.

As such, we’ve put it upon ourselves to spice up the 2020 NHL trade deadline with a bit of bingo. It’s fun, easy enough to follow and can be played no matter where you’re taking in this year’s trade deadline, from school to work to the comfort of your own home.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET: And that’s it! Thanks to an active deadline which did not disappoint whatsoever, we managed to hit triple bingo by deadline’s end. Thanks for playing!

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET: We’ve got a double bingo situation, thanks to the Oilers and Flames finally getting in on the trade deadline mix with just an hour to go.

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET: AND WE HAVE BINGO! A depth trade made by the Bruins has given us our first bingo of the day, along with an unusually swift-moving deadline.

UPDATE 12 P.M. ET: The Devils trading Wayne Simmonds to the Sabres has set up a pair of potential bingos with three hours remaining!

UPDATE 11 A.M. ET: LOTS of activity in the first few hours. We’re already a handful of squares from bingo and there are still four hours remaining until the deadline arrives.

ORIGINAL CARD:

With a lot of leeway in terms of the scope of this bingo, let’s lay down some rules:

  1. Given its availability on NHL Network, this bingo card will use Sportsnet’s Hockey Central show and whatever other content NHL Network produces that day as the basis for any broadcasting squares. Sorry to folks that watch TSN’s coverage, but America doesn’t get it so this is what you’ve got.
  2. This bingo will officially start at 9 a.m. EST and end at 4 p.m. EST, since deals often are announced in the hour proceeding the 3 p.m. deadline, giving seven full hours for any potential bingos to occur.
  3. We’ll update this bingo card here on FanSided and our Twitter account, so keep those pages bookmarked so you don’t miss any of the action! And if we miss something, let us know!

And that’s it! Enjoy the deadline!
