1. Edge rusher

No team ever has enough pass rushers. The Ravens are surprisingly light on players capable of getting to the quarterback without blitzing. Baltimore actually blitzed opposing offenses on 55 percent of their snaps in 2019.

Obviously, blitzing so often leaves the Ravens secondary vulnerable to big plays. Baltimore has a lot of talent at the back end, but it would be nice to lessen the stress they put on their secondary.

Specifically, the Ravens need to add pass-rushing talent to their defensive line. Linebacker Matthew Judon was the team’s best pass-rusher last season, but he needs more help in front of him.

Admittedly, finding a defensive end capable of providing pressure in a three-man line is a challenge for a lot of teams. That could cause the Ravens to gamble on more of a ‘tweener in the draft. Finding a pass rush specialist capable of playing as a defensive end in a four-man front or outside linebacker in a 3-4 setup could really benefit Baltimore.

The team will almost certainly have to fill this need in the draft. The chances of the Ravens being able to afford a quality pass rusher in free agency are almost non-existent. Baltimore might not add an edge rusher in Round 1, but it is a position the Ravens will address early in the draft.
