DraftKings NBA centers:

Best Bets:

Joel Embiid ($9,500): This could be a huge game for Embiid with both Simmons and Harris out. He has 113.75 DraftKings points in two games agaisnt the Hawks so far. The Hawks are still thin up front and Embiid is the only established scorer playing tonight. Someone else will step up beside him, but Embiid is a lock.

Nikola Vucevic ($9,100): Vucevic has shaken off of a slow start to rack up four straight games of 52 or more DraftKings points. The Nets are one of the worst teams in the league against centers since the start of 2020. Many teams have dominated them up front of late. Vucevic should do the same.

Honorable Mention:

Kristaps Porzingis ($8,100): Porzingis has topped 50 DraftKings points in each of the last two games that he’s played. Yes, both of those were with Luka on the court. The Timberwolves are thin and small up front. This is a game that Porzingis should be able to put up big numbers in. He hasn’t exactly been a model of consistency this year though.

Jonas Valanciunas ($6,900): I’m curious to see how the Grizzlies are going to handle this. With Jackson out it should mean more minutes for Jonas and Clarke. Should is the operative word. The Grizzlies did pick up some pieces up front from Minnesota at the deadline that have only played sparingly so far. Jonas has 93.5 DraftKings points in two games against the Clippers. This should mean more minutes for Jonas, but I almost think that the Grizzlies wont give Jonas any more minutes and use Dieng instead.

Dark Horses:

Naz Reid ($5,800): Reid was handled by Jokic last night. There’s no shame in that. Porzingis isn’t as strong as Jokic, but I also don’t trust Reid for this price either. He has good upside and it’s exciting to use something new, but I’m not sure it’s a great idea. Reid isn’t consitent so far. It’s hard to gauge anything by just two starts, both spent in foul trouble.

Montrezl Harrell ($5,400): Harrell was very quiet for a couple of months during the season, but he seems to be waking back up. Harrell has over 35 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. Memphis is pretty solid up front, but Harrell dominated them twice earlier in the year. This price is reasonable enough to take a shot on Harrell tonight.
