DraftKings NBA picks February 25: Giannis or the Brow?
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,600): Giannis got his rest last night even though the game went into overtime because he fouled out in just 25 minutes. That resulted in his lowest DraftKigns point output this calendar year. The Bucks need Giannis against Toronto. He ravaged them for 77.25 DraftKings points in 36 minutes earlier this year. We all know what kind of numbers Giannis puts up when he plays over 30 minutes. He’s a tough fade tonight.
Anthony Davis ($10,300): Davis has taken out all his aggressions on the Pelicans so far this year. He has 134.5 DraftKings points in the first two games against his former team. This was a messy divorce and it’s ovbious A.D. is still steamed at the team. He’s going off again, and is the only one who could rival the output of Giannis tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Jayson Tatum ($8,800): Even if Kemba returns, Tatum should be in for a good game. Melo can’t guard anyone, let alone him. I’m not sure Hassan can handle him either. Tatum has three straight games of 52 or more DraftKings points. Two of those were against the L.A. teams, who are both strong defensively. Right now I’d use Tatum against just about anyone.
Danilo Gallinari ($6,100): The Bulls are still a bludgeoned mess up front. Gallo put up 41.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Bulls. He has been cold of late, but the Bulls could snap him out of that. At least one player is going to have a big game here. The Bulls are solid on the perimeter. I think the interior two could be the ones.
Dark Horses:
Harrison Barnes ($5,300): Barnes has been playing huge minutes since Ariza was dealt. Now the production is starting to follow. Barnes has at least 34 DraftKings points in four of the last five games. It’s hard to trust Hield or Bogdan and even Fox some of the time. Barnes has been the most consistent fantasy asset on the team this month.
Paul Millsap ($5,100): Following a horrible outing against the Thunder, Millsap went nuts on Minnesota. No one should be surprised by that. Detroit’s front could be just as bad as Minnesota’s right now. Millsap still isn’t going to play more than 28 minutes, but he likely wont need to either. This could be another big night for Millsap.
