Scrubs

Carmelo Anthony (vs BOS – $6,000 on DK; $5,800 on FD): As much as I’m down on the Blazers in this game because there are too many (Whiteside) who believe this is a good team, I do love Melo. He’s at a reasonable salary given the amount of shots he’s going to get and he’ll chip in with rebounds as well. It’s a tough matchup but he shouldn’t hurt you with the Lillard circumstances and the ceiling is high.

Dennis Schroder (at CHI – $5,700 on DK; $5,600 on FD): Schroder is another guy who will get guaranteed shots against the Bulls. His salary has dipped as he’s struggled a bit recently but the opportunities will continue to be there for him and the lower salary helps you out. Going with the OKC guards rarely feels like a bad move given how they’ve played this season.

Coby White (vs OKC – $5,600 on DK; $5,200 on FD): White is having some big games off the bench and even though this is a tough matchup, the OKC bench defense has some holes that he can take advantage of. Keep riding this wave of momentum until he gives you a reason not to or the price gets too high. It is not too high at the moment.

Bruce Brown (at DEN – $5,200 on DK; $4,600 on FD): Brown keeps thriving with the opportunities as the lead guard for the Pistons. He won’t hurt you at this price given the opportunities he is getting. It’s a tough matchup but he did have a big game against the Nuggets earlier this season, which should have you feeling confident.

Daniel Theis (at POR – $4,900 on DK; $5,000 on FD): It’s a nice night for high salary guys so grabbing Theis to balance things out is a good choice. He’s not going to hurt you at this price and he’s a consistent option due to his minutes and role. He’ll find ways to contribute and can easily round out your team. His ceiling isn’t typically that high, but this is a matchup where his ceiling can certainly be raised.
