Detroit Lions. Jeffrey Okudah. 3. player. 50. . Cornerback

The Detroit Lions could go a number of different ways with the No. 3 overall selection, as teams are going to be clamoring to move up and select either Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert. While the Lions have also been rumored to be in the market for a quarterback, the front office shut those rumors down, which means they shift their focus to another position group here at three.

This offseason, Darius Slay stated that if the team decides to move on from him, then he would be all for a trade out of Detroit. If the team does decide to trade away their best cornerback, replacing him with the best cornerback in the 2020 NFL Draft makes sense, and Jeffrey Okudah will be available to them if they want him.

Okudah fronts a very deep cornerback class this April, and during his time at Ohio State, he showed he could take away one side of the field. The Lions have to  get better in the secondary, especially if Slay moves on, so adding the premier cornerback in the draft class could fill the void left by the three-time Pro Bowler.

player. 31. . Offensive Tackle. New York Giants. Jedrick Wills Jr.. 4

The New York Giants hold the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and like the Detroit Lions, there are a number of different ways they could go with  the selection. The Giants do not need a quarterback early in round one, as they got their guy last year in Daniel Jones, whom they  took with the No. 6 overall pick.

This April, if the team does decide to stay at No. 4, they should look to bring in more talent along the offensive line. There is quite the debate going as to which offensive tackle is the best in this draft class, and the Combine should help figure that out, but in this mock draft, the Giants tab Alabama mauler Jedrick Wills Jr.

Nate Solder has not been worth the money since the Giants made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in football a few years back, but a move to the right side could be just what he needs. Wills is an instant starter at the NFL level, and if Jones is going to continue to get better, they have to make protecting him the No. 1 priority.
