Third Round

TCU Horned Frogs. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 75. 872. Jalen Reagor

This projects to be the deepest wide receiver class in NFL Draft history. While there may not be a bona fide, blue-chip No. 1 receiving talent this year, this draft should be able to provide teams with quality players at this position group well into day three. The player Indianapolis should target with its No. 75 selection in the third round is Jalen Reagor out of TCU.

Reagor opted to forgo his senior season in Fort Worth to enter the draft. He leaves TCU as the Big 12 Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017, as well as a two-time All-Second Team member in his conference in 2018 and ’19. He may have had a down year in production as a junior last fall, but it wasn’t like the Horned Frogs were an exceptional team in the Big 12 either.

Regardless, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound receiver leaves the Big 12 with 148 career receptions for 2,248 yards and 22 receiving touchdowns. He also amassed 324 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 35 career carries out of the backfield. Reagor went over 1,000 receiving yards during the 2018 campaign with 1,061 on 72 grabs for nine trips to pay dirt, all career-highs.

At times, Reagor has been projected to go higher than in the middle of the third round. So it looks like the Colts would be able to get good value out of him if he is the No. 75 overall selection to Indianapolis. Whether Jacoby Brissett remains the long-term solution for the Colts at quarterback or not, look for Reagor to be an impactful player in the NFL during his rookie contract out of TCU.
