Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on February 29 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

7:30 p.m. ET: Portland at Atlanta, Brooklyn at Miami
8 p.m. ET: Indiana at Cleveland, LA Lakers at Memphis
8:30 p.m. ET: Houston at Boston, Orlando at San Antonio
9 p.m. ET: Golden State at Phoenix

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Trae Young (vs POR – $10,300 on DK; $10,000 on FD): It’s Trae against a weak matchup in the Blazers. A triple double is on the table and I think he offers the most value among the top DFS stars. He’s guaranteed value that you can easily build around and has a high ceiling.

Hassan Whiteside (at ATL – $9,300 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Whiteside is typically a consistent option which is always good even if he may not swing your league. But this is a night where he can swing the league given the matchup. It’s an easy double double and then some.

Domantas Sabonis (at CLE – $9,100 on DK; $8,500 on FD): Sabonis is consistent and this is a high ceiling matchup for him. This should be an easily double double with a high scoring and rebounding possibility. He’ll feast in this one.

Devin Booker (vs GS – $8,100 on DK; $7,400 on FD): Booker has been a little inconsistent and not been the post break Booker that I’ve come to love. But with this matchup I feel confident that he go off with his scoring. He’s not going to hurt you given the matchup and his salary but expect more than usual from him on Saturday.

Jaylen Brown (vs HOU – $6,900 on DK; $6,400 on FD): Tatum is a good choice as well given the way he’s been playing but I like Brown with the price. He’s good value here and can get hot similar to Tatum while chipping in with rebounds. The Celtics scorers should be in for a big night.
