NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for March 2
Scrubs
Robert Covington (at NY – $6,200 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Covington has been every the Rockets traded for and then some. He does a bit of everything and this is an easy matchup against the Knicks. Even at this price, he’s not going to hurt you and the ceiling is high given the way the Rockets play and the matchup.
Seth Curry (at CHI – $6,100 on DK; $5,000 on FD): If Doncic is out then Curry become their top guard option. It does mean more pressure on him so you can also look towards Hardaway Jr as he’s at a better price. But Curry does have the higher ceiling given the way he’s been playing. If Doncic plays, this salary is probably a tad too high on DK.
Mitchell Robinson (vs HOU – $5,500 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Robinson has been getting more touches as of late and the Knicks utilized him well last time out against the Rockets. Centers will always have some kind of an advantage against the Rockets and Mitchell has enough of a paint game to make the small ball lineup pay.
Myles Turner (at SA – $5,200 on DK; $5,800 on FD): Turner has been playing very well as of late and the Spurs are weak against the position. The Spurs also just aren’t very good. Turner has proven to be inconsistent but he remains at a good price and won’t hurt you. And if he keeps up this roll, he’s a strong value bet.
De’Andre Hunter (vs MEM – $5,000 on DK; $4,600 on FD): Hunter has been playing well over the last couple of weeks aside from a slip or two. He’s at a good price given the way he’s played as of late. And this is a great matchup. There should be plenty of offense in this one and Hunter will lend a hand.
