NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for March 2
Duds
James Harden (at NY – $10,500 on DK; $10,800 on FD): This is about the price for Harden. It’s a great matchup so Harden should have an easy time but the price is also a little too high given the options below him. It’s a strong night up top and with Harden taking a backseat to Westbrook, the price is just too high for my liking.
CJ McCollum (at ORL – $9,300 on DK; $8,800 on FD): McCollum has played fairly well without Lillard in the lineup but this is a great night of action and McCollum doesn’t stand out given the matchup. The Magic are good against the position and while McCollum might not hurt you, his ceiling is limited and there’s better value below him.
Aaron Gordon (vs POR – $8,300 on DK; $7,400 on FD): The good news is that the Blazers are a great matchup for Gordon. The bad news is that Gordon slid back in his last game and his inconsistent and streaky history worries me going into this matchup. He’s still at a high price based on his recent production and it feels like a trap. The ceiling is high but there’s a good bust potential just based on Gordon being Gordon.
Bam Adebayo (vs MIL – $8,100 on DK; $8,800 on FD): It’s a tough matchup for the Heat and Adebayo against the best team in the league. This should be a defensive battle and the only guy I really have faith in in this matchup is Giannis because he’s Giannis. There are a lot of good matchups on Monday and this one just isn’t all that appealing.
Rudy Gobert (at CLE – $7,800 on DK; $7,800 on FD): Gobert still isn’t giving enough in this games with his price. It’s a great matchup as the Cavaliers are very weak against the position. But until I see more from Gobert, I simply can’t take him with the way he’s been playing and the price he remains at.
