10. Villanova Wildcats (24-7)

Jay Wright is getting his team hot at the right time and that’s bad news for the rest of college basketball. The Wildcats should find their way back in the top 10 this week after beating No. 8 Seton Hall on the road and Georgetown in the season finale to lock up a share of the Big East title.

9. Duke Blue Devils (25-6)

Duke got back on track this week at the perfect time, winning a couple of games against NC State and top rival North Carolina to improve to 25-6 and finishing in second place in the ACC. The Blue Devils may not be the most talented they’ve been in years, but they’re playing well as a team right now, pushing for a No. 2 seed.

8. Baylor Bears (26-4)

A few weeks ago, Baylor was sitting pretty. The Bears were 24-1 and looked like the favorites to run away with the Big 12 title, but they’ve since lost 3-of-5 games to drop to 26-4, including the latest 12-point loss to West Virginia. The loss to Kansas seems to have broken this team as it can’t put a winning streak together.

7. Creighton Bluejays (24-7)

Creighton had one of the best weeks of any team in the AP Top 25 last week, beating Georgetown by 15 and then hosting No. 8 Seton Hall with a shot at a shared Big East crown with Villanova and the Pirates. The Bluejays took care of business and should move up about 5-6 spots in the rankings because of it.

6. Kentucky Wildcats (25-6)

Kentucky had a win on Senior Day in hand. The Wildcats played a solid first half against Tennessee and looked to be heading toward an easy victory, but the Volunteers stormed back and pulled off the upset, 81-73. Kentucky rebounded to win a big road game over Florida and therefore shouldn’t drop this week.
