DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Luka Doncic ($11,100): Luka likes the Spurs. He has 193.25 DraftKings points in three meetings with the Spurs this year. The problem is that Luka has been under 48 DraftKings points in five of the last ten games. In the other five? He was over 60. These kinds of things make it hard to lock him in, but I will definitely use him at least once. The upside is as good as anyone’s.

Russell Westbrook ($10,100): If Luka sits we have an easy pivot here. Westbrook has owned Minnesota this year, running up 124 DratKings points in the two games that he’s played against them. Harden wasn’t much of a factor even in the game without Russ. There are only two Rockets I trust tonight. One is Russ. The other is not Harden.

Honorable Mention:

Ricky Rubio ($7,500): Rubio has owned Portland in three meetings. He has 135 DraftKings points in the three games even though he “only” put up 38.5 on them last Friday. Rubio is a strong play tonight considering Portland allowed 127 points to Phoenix in that game. Rubio is the orchestrator of the offense, which give him a good floor. His erratic shooting always worries me though.

Coby White ($6,800): White is one of those guys I’m locking in. He has at least 34 DraftKings points in eight straight and 10 of the last 11 games. Hopefully the move into the starting lineup doesn’t hurt him a la LouWill. At any rate, White is one of the more underpriced guys on the slate. He should light up Cleveland.

Elfrid Payton ($6,300): Payton has averaged 33.6 DraftKings points per game in the three games against Washington this year. That alone is a miracle considering the volatility of the Knicks’ rotations. Payton is one of the safe plays and he is putting up solid numbers across the board. His floor is still scary, but we’re not going to see it against a team like the Wizards.

Dark Horses:

Shabazz Napier ($5,600): I almost never run point guards against the Knicks, but this will be an exception. Napier went nuts on the Heat, a team that has allowed the fewest DK points to point guards this year, in 40 minutes of action. Ish and Robinson are out again, so Napier is gong to be in for huge minutes again. I’ll take that for this low of a price.

Derrick White ($4,600): Remember last year when Murray was out for most of the season? White stepped up big in his stead. That should happen again here. Murray is out, so White should start and see 30-35 minutes instead of his normal 22-26. That’s a nice boost at this price even if he does have a tougher matchup with Dallas. White is a good value here.

D.J. Augustin ($4,300): There are minutes for Magic guards with Fournier out. Augustin is probably the most consistent, but MCW and Ross will see minutes as well. Whatever the Magic are doing, it has worked. If you can’t swing this price for D.J., MCW is a decent option as well, but I don’t know that I would run both in the same lineup.
