Jacksonville Jaguars: S Anthony Harris (Minnesota Vikings)

Last offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars opted to head in the different direction at quarterback. They would part ways with Blake Bortles and add Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles via free agency. The former member of the Philadelphia Eagles was injured in Week 1, gave way to rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew and Doug Marrone’s team owned a 4-4 record at midseason.

But the club would win just once the rest of the season and for the second consecutive year wound up in the basement in the AFC South. Tom Coughlin is no longer with the organization and either is former Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey, dealt to the Los Angeles Rams last October. It means the Jaguars have a pair of first-round picks in April.

And general manager David Caldwell and the club would do well to address a defense that despite its penchant for sacking the quarterback has plenty of other issues. Some of that is stopping the run, where the team ranked 28th in the league in ’19. Another problem has been forcing turnovers, once a strength of this club. Hence signing play-making safety Anthony Harris, who totaled seven takeaways and 11 passes defensed for the Vikings this past season and added an interception in the playoffs.
