Cleveland Browns: DE Leonard Williams (New York Giants)

The franchise is a dismal 101-234-1 since returning to the NFL as an expansion team in 1999. The Cleveland Browns have also not enjoyed a winning season since 2007 and haven’t been to the playoffs since ‘02, the latter the longest current postseason drought in the league.

Last offseason, then-general manager John Dorsey filled the roster with some additional talent via trades and free agency. By season’s end, the club finished a disappointing 6-10 and head coach Freddie Kitchens was one and done. So it is start-over time once again in Cleveland with former Minnesota Vikings’ offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski the latest sideline leader for the organization.

The new head coach means another new system for quarterback Baker Mayfield, who digressed a bit in his second season and totaled 23 of the club’s 28 turnovers. But this is also a team that ranked 30th in rushing defense this past season. And new defensive coordinator Joe Woods certainly has some work to do with this unit in general.

Adding talented Leonard Williams, originally of the New York Jets but dealt to the Giants last October, could help make a front that already features Sheldon Richardson and ends Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon, more formidable in many aspects.
