6. No-look pass vs. Ravens

Quarterbacks aren’t supposed to even think about attempting no-look passes. Most don’t even try to do so in practice. Patrick Mahomes nearly broke the internet when he unleashed one in-game.

Even the commentary by Tony Romo points out just how bizarre this play was. In the midst of a two-minute drill, Mahomes does his best to evade pressure. After faking out a defender, he keeps his eyes focused on the right side of the field. The defense had no clue what was coming.

Not only did Mahomes deliver a pass to (guess who) Demarcus Robinson, but he did so with accuracy that some quarterbacks fail to put on throws they’re actually looking at. It was one of the more unique plays in NFL history despite being nothing more than a nice throw for a first down.

There have been a few instances of Mahomes and others trying no-look throws since this one, but the 2nd-and-1 toss vs. the Ravens in 2019 was the one that opened up the floodgates. It’ll forever be a classic example of the “what do you think you’re doing— oh, nice play!” kinds of throws Mahomes can make.
