1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are moving forward with Tom Brady on a two-year deal worth $30 million a year. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2007, with just three winning seasons since and one winning season in the last nine. Along with the increase in buzz around the franchise, expectations are now naturally very high all-around.

Tampa Bay had the league’s 24th-ranked rushing attack last year (95.1 yards per game), and they were also near the bottom of the league in yards per carry (3.7). Ronald Jones topped 1,000 total yards in his second season last year, but adding someone behind him to replace Peyton Barber is an easy priority from here on out this offseason.

The Buccaneers still have plenty of money to work with, and they are surely looking to add more pieces around Brady.

Tampa Bay is essentially all in to win for the next two years with Brady under center. Not coincidentally, Gurley’s contract gets less prohibitive after the 2021 season with a dead money hit of $4.2 million. So the Buccaneers are a clear fit, as Gurley’s contract-driven window perfectly lines up with theirs and he would fill a need.
