Auburn. player. 842. Pick Analysis. OT. Prince Tega Wanogho. 58. Scouting Report

Minnesota has long struggled along the offensive line. It’s about time the Vikings address the need with some good value here in Prince Tega Wanogho.

At Auburn, Wanogho was dominant on the left side for three consecutive years, earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2019. This is a load group within the conference including Georgia’s Andrew Thomas and Alabama’s Jedrick Wills, both expected to be top-10 picks come April. Wanogho isn’t expected to slide out of the second round, so if he’s available here for Minnesota, it makes sense for Spielman to jump at the chance.

The Vikings used their first-round pick last year on center Garrett Bradberry, and it’s been a good investment. The team can continue to go young up front and allow veteran offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak to teach his zone run-blocking scheme.

A mountain of a man at 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds, Wanogho projects as a road-grader who, worse-cast scenario, can kick inside to guard if his feet don’t hold up against the better speed-rushers in the NFL.
