4. Tee Higgins

Higgins is another wide receiver who could really give a boost to the Saints’ potent passing attack. He doesn’t terrify his defenders with speed like the aforementioned Ruggs. Instead, he uses his size and athleticism to make big plays down the field.

There are legitimate concerns about whether or not Higgins has the foot speed to separate from high-quality NFL defensive backs. His athletic testing numbers aren’t great. However, his tape from his time at Clemson shows a consistent ability to get open against anyone.

Payton is the perfect coach to get the most out of a unique weapon like Higgins. He could thrive in New Orleans as a sort of hybrid between slot receiver and tight end. The Saints don’t need another No. 1 wideout, they need another guy capable of creating and exploiting mismatches.

That’s just what Higgins can do if he’s given the ability to work against anything less than the other team’s No. 1 corner. The Saints might opt for a more complete receiver at No. 24, but if they like Higgins he could turn into a very productive player for them in short order.
