3. Tee Higgins

Higgins put up video-game numbers during his time at Clemson. That tends to happen when you’re surrounded by a ton of NFL talent on offense. Catching passes from Trevor Lawrence last season certainly boosted his production.

Fans of Higgins really like his functional size and ability to win aerial battles to catch passes down the field. The flip side of the latter observation is that he was frequently covered closely by defensive backs in the final third of the field.

There should be serious questions about his ability to separate from NFL cornerbacks on a regular basis. Higgins can’t afford to go to a team that needs him to be their No. 1 wideout. At best, he projects as a guy who can be an above average option as a No. 2 wide receiver.

He’s not worth the risk in a draft that’s loaded with talent at his position. Mentioning him in the same breath as guys like Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb is a poor job of scouting. Higgins is a player who should be going in the middle of the second round in this year’s draft. His lack of speed should eliminate him from contention for a spot in Round 1.
