2. QB Jameis Winston

He’s been on the open market for a little over a week. But so far there have been no real serious takers when it comes to the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Quarterback Jameis Winston has played in 72 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In those contest, he threw 19,737 yards and connected for a very-respectable 121 touchdowns.

But there were also 88 interceptions and 23 lost fumbles. Hence a total of 111 turnovers in less than five seasons. To put that in perspective, the New England Patriots as a team gave up the football a combined 103 times in 112 regular-season outings in seven years from 2013-19.

So who could still be the suitors for performer that led the NFL in passing yards in 2019 and finish second with 33 scores through the air? Of course, there were also those 30 picks, seven of those returned for touchdowns. All told, the Buccaneers once again led the NFL with 41 turnovers and Winston was guilty of 35 of those miscues.

Can the former Florida State Seminoles’ star and 2013 Heisman Trophy winner get his came together? The arm strength is there and he’s more than capable of the big play. But more turnovers than games played over nearly five years is a problem a lot of teams may not be willing to attempt to rectify.
