2. Sign Delanie Walker

After playing just eight games over the last two seasons, Walker was cut by the Tennessee Titans. Approaching 36 years old now, the list of potential suitors for him is not long.

That said, Walker was productive into his 30s prior to the last two years. He topped 100 targets and 800 yards in four straight seasons from 2014-2017, as he averaged 74 catches per season over that span. If he can stay healthy, which is clearly a huge “if”, there should be something there.

As of right now, the Packers’ No. 1 tight end is 2019 third-round pick Jace Sternburger, who played six regular season games without a catch last year after an an ankle injury sidelined him until Week 9. Marcedes Lewis is being brought back as the No. 2 guy, but his days of notable production as a pass catcher are long gone.

Walker may linger available for awhile, perhaps even until after the draft. But taking a flier on him is well within reason for the Packers, and even if he’s best used as a part-time player he’s an upgrade to the tight end depth in Green Bay.
