3. Tim Stützle

DOB: Jan. 15, 2002 (age 18)
Position: LW
Shoots: L
Team: Adler Mannheim — DEL
Height: 6-foot-0
Weight: 187 pounds

Tim Stützle of Adler Mannheim is projected to serve as the top European talent of the 2020 draft class.

A speedy winger who skates very well, Stützle can be relied upon in tricky scenarios. His two-way play is admirable, as the left winger is able to marry offensive prowess with defensive responsibility for his German squad.

“Speed, quick shooting, humility and leadership ability (both on and off ice),” writes Gerard Lionetti, are “desirable traits. Ego has no place in hockey; a superstar can’t carry a team by themselves… Stützle has all the tools to be a great player for a long time.”

Look for an NHL squad to take a shot at landing the gifted playmaking forward early on draft day.
