Tennessee Titans full 2020 NFL mock draft
By John Buhler
Second Round
Though the Titans were able to sign Vic Beasley in free agency, they still need help coming off the edge. Fortunately for Tennessee, they will be able to get a ferocious playmaker out of the SEC in the Florida Gators’ Jonathan Greenard. He will be the Titans’ No. 61 overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Greenard is 6-foot-4 and 263 pounds. Though he only played one year at Florida, it was surely a productive one in Todd Grantham’s system. He had 53 tackles, 16 for a loss of yardage and 10 sacks during his one year in Gainesville. While he was coming off a season where he sat out a year upon transferring to Florida, you have to like what he did in the ACC for the Louisville Cardinals.
In 2017 as a redshirt sophomore at Louisville, Greenard had 48 total tackles, 15.5 for a loss of yardage and seven sacks. Even in tough situations in college, with the Louisville program falling apart under former head coach Bobby Petrino, as well as not having teammate Jabari Zuniga for most of 2019, Greenard always found a way to have success when he was on the field.
Overall, the Titans are in a great spot towards the end of the second round to solve their biggest draft issue out along the edge. Though they could go with a pass-rusher in round one, they’re better served going with Jones out of Houston at offensive tackle and Greenard out of Florida with their first two picks. Tennessee is already owning the early part of its draft with these picks.
