. Edge. Dallas Cowboys. K'Lavon Chaisson. 17. player. 123

While the Dallas Cowboys did give quarterback Dak Prescott the franchise tag, and lock up Amari Cooper on a $100 million contract, they have lost some big pieces to their defense. Guys like Jeff Heath, Robert Quinn, and Byron Jones are all gone from last year’s team, and they must utilize their first round pick to address one of those voids.

Enter K’Lavon Chaisson, a dominating edge rusher from LSU who play a big part in the team going undefeated and winning a national title last season. Replacing a talent like Quinn is going to be tough to do, but Chaisson has the talent to be a double-digit sack guy at the NFL level eventually.

The NFC East went down to the wire last season, and while the Cowboys appear loaded on offense, they must not take a step back on defense. The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to repeat in 2020, but the Cowboys could end up being the better roster, and Chaisson is going to be a fun one to watch at the next level.

Xavier McKinney. 18. player. 59. . Safety. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins traded away Minkah Fitzpatrick during the 2019 NFL season, leaving them with a big void at the cornerback position. For Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins brought back the Pittsburgh Steelers first round pick in 2020, and they should look to address the secondary with the selection.

Byron Jones has already been added to the cornerback room, so that will take care of the void left by Fitzpatrick moving over to the Steel City. At safety, the Dolphins could use some more talent, and they get the best pure safety in this draft class with the No. 18 overall pick.

Xavier McKinney is a guy who is going to come in and start right away at the NFL level, and he will be going to a place with a talented defensive-minded head coach in Brian Flores. After adding a franchise quarterback early, the Dolphins help bolster the backend of their defense here, as they continue to revamp this roster.
