player. Pick Analysis. WR. Tee Higgins. Scouting Report. Clemson. 37. 879

Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are incredible top options for the Chargers’ passing game, but behind them are a lot of question marks. Tee Higgins could step in immediately as the teams third option. At Clemson, Higgins scored a touchdown on an absurd 20 percent of his receptions. He’s loaded with talent.

Higgins is able to create separation with his long strides and has freakish athletic ability with his body control and ball skills. That separation makes him a deep-ball threat and his leaping ability will work well in the red zone. Higgins is versatile as well, having lined up at all three wide receiver spots for the Tigers throughout his college career.

The Chargers would have a loaded group with Higgins in the mix, and opposing defenses would have to pick their proverbial poison. Los Angeles would be able to dictate matchups with Higgins’ versatility, and in a new era with a new quarterback, that’s increasingly ideal.

If there’s any knock against Higgins it is his lack of strength. It is on full display when he is asked to run block, but with a little added size he could improve for the NFL game.
