Pick Analysis. 6-foot-6 | G/F. Auburn. Issac Okoro. 5. player. Scouting Report. 41

The fit here is great, as Isaac Okoro’s lack of shooting would be masked and his IQ would be easy to plug in with the Splash Brothers. Okoro hasn’t shown a consistent jumper yet, but someone is going to gamble on him in this range anyway, if not earlier. At 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-9 wingspan, he possesses the best combination of athleticism and defensive instincts in the draft. He’s also a high-IQ player offensively, making the fit as good as can be with the Golden State Warriors. He has a high floor even if he does not develop a reliable outside jumper due to his combination of physical traits and feel for the game on each end.

What Okoro provides on the defensive end may be enough to justify this selection with even limited offensive production, so if somehow a team sees enough between now and draft day to think he’ll develop offensively, Okoro could be one of the first names called. So far, he’s only shooting 29 percent from 3, but over 60 percent 2s at only 6-foot-6. The Warriors might have a replacement for the Andre Iguodala role with this selection.
