3. Miami Dolphins

Under first-year head coach Brian Flores, the Dolphins didn’t perfect “Tanking for Tua” last year, winning their final two games and three of their last five to finish 5-11. They aggressively spent their league-high cap space they had going into free agency, signing cornerback Byron Jones, running back Jordan Howard, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, offensive lineman Ereck Flowers and defensive end Shaq Lawson to notable contracts.

Miami also has three first-round picks, its own at No. 5 as well as No. 18 and No. 26 via trades made with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans last year. The Dolphins can stand pat and use all three picks to get a quarterback of the future and address needs (running back, offensive line, safety), or they could use that draft capital to move up in the first round or trade for a veteran player.

The AFC East feels wide open, with the New England Patriots losing Tom Brady. The Dolphins are a team on the rise no matter what though, entering the second year of what now looks like a  rebuild that has pressed the gas pedal.
