5th round

Kenny Willekes. 168. player. 805. . EDGE. Spartans

The Bills did an excellent job of adding pass rushers in free agency this offseason without overpaying as many teams often do. While much of the top edge talent is projected to be off the board by the time the Bills are on the clock, they are likely to add depth on Day 3 with a player like Michigan State’s Kenny Willekes.

Willekes is an Energizer Bunny between the lines who plays with an unrelenting motor and possesses plenty of athleticism to hold his own on the edge of the defense. He checks all the size and length boxes, and I think he’ll definitely be high on the Bills’ draft board with the potential to go a round earlier as well.

6th round

834. . LB. Hurricanes . Shaquille Quarterman. 189. player

Miami’s Shaquille Quarterman lives up to his name because his tackling power has the ability to quarter men on the football field.

A four-year starter at linebacker is rare in college football and Quarterman’s instincts and production should make him an excellent Day 3 pick for the Bills.

player. 886. . CB. Knights . Nevelle Clarke. 208

The Bills will do their best to ink Tre’Davious White to a long-term extension next year, but there’s always the chance the waters of the free agent market become too enticing to pass up.

If so, UCF’s Nevelle Clark is a great Day 3 option to add to an already talented Buffalo secondary. Clark checks all the size and length boxes to excel as an outside corner at the NFL level.

7th round

OT. Ducks . Calvin Throckmorton. 240. player. 820.

Another four-year starter for the Bills on Day 3, Oregon’s Calvin Throckmorton finished his collegiate career 52(!) consecutive starts all over the Ducks’ offensive line.

He probably doesn’t have the length or athleticism to stick at tackle in the long-term but thankfully for Buffalo, he also has starting experience at guard and center. With that wealth of playing experience, Throckmorton should have no problem picking up a new playbook once he reaches the NFL.
