4. Kevin Stefanski will bring a sense of professionalism

Stefanski doesn’t need to be Vince Lombardi on the sidelines to give the Browns a big lift this season. Simply not being Freddie Kitchens or Hue Jackson will be a significant boost to the franchise.

Specifically, Stefanski is going to be a much-needed adult in the room. He won’t encourage the same sort of theatrics that played themselves out in Kitchens’ locker room. Cleveland’s new head coach will always want the media to focus on what his team is doing on the field.

He won’t turn the volatile personalities on the team into choir boys overnight, but he should tone down a fair amount of their eccentricities. Odell Beckham Jr is still going to be OBJ, but he’ll at least think twice about what he says to the press with Stefanski in charge.

The bar will rise for Stefanski as his tenure in charge of the Browns goes on, but all he needs to do in his first season is make the team run like a normal NFL franchise. Reducing the circus factor in Cleveland should be worth an extra win or two in 2020.
