1. Baker Mayfield will bounce back

Nothing else the Browns do this season will matter if Mayfield doesn’t give them more production from the quarterback position. Fortunately, he’s in line to have a bounce back season from his mediocre 2019 campaign.

The simple truth is that Mayfield spent too much time running for his life last season. The team’s efforts to upgrade his protection will allow him to return to form in 2020. To be more specific, the pinpoint accuracy Mayfield demonstrated earlier in his career will return.

Stefanski’s offense should also make life easier for the team’s franchise quarterback. Look for a more balanced attack to take hold as the season goes along. Nick Chubb got a lot of carries in 2019, but no one else on the roster logged more than 43. Finding a second back capable of carrying some of the load will add to Mayfield’s efficiency when he’s required to make downfield throws.
