10. G Darius Perry – Louisville to Iona

Jones’ decision to go to Louisville allows him to fill the roster spot vacated by Darius Perry’s decision to transfer. Perry, a 6-foot-2 guard, has good ball skills but may be more effective playing off the ball in his next destination.

A spot that makes a lot of sense for Perry is Iona, which is now coached by former Louisville head coach Rick Pitino. Perry was recruited to Louisville by Pitino, who has indicated he is still searching for a transfer to help institute his program in New Rochelle.

Perry could play off the ball at Iona with Isaiah Washington at the point, giving the Gaels a backcourt featuring two former high-major players. It also makes sense for Perry to finally get a chance to play for Pitino, who was fired by Louisville before Perry’s freshman year.
