8. G Amauri Hardy – UNLV to Oregon

The Oregon Ducks are a team in strong need of a point guard after Payton Pritchard finally exhausted his eligibility. Replacing Pritchard, who took the Ducks to a Final Four and was the team’s leader for the past two years, definitely will not be easy.

It would make sense for Oregon to bring in Amauri Hardy, who could step right into Pritchard’s shoes in the backcourt for the Ducks. Hardy has started at UNLV and is a capable scorer, averaging 14.5 points per game for the Runnin’ Rebels last season.

Scouts love Hardy’s ability to finish at the rim and shoot from three, which most believe can translate to the high-major level. The Ducks have been one of the Pac-12’s most efficient offensive teams over the past few years and adding Hardy to the mix should be a seamless fit.

It will be interesting to see if Oregon would consider using Hardy, who played off the ball at UNLV, to directly replace Pritchard at the point. Hardy does bring phenomenal ball skills with him so there could be a unique opportunity here to see what Hardy could do as a facilitator in the Ducks’ offense.
